Terms & Conditions

All bookings are accepted on the strict understanding that the student has read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined below.

By booking a course with Intensive One Week Driving, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted the following terms and conditions.

1. Definitions

• “You” refers to the person named on the booking form as the student.
• “We” / “Us” / “Driving School” refers to Intensive One Week Driving, who organise the driving course, and allocate instructors.
• “Your Instructor” refers to the DVSA-registered self-employed instructor delivering your course.

2. Booking & Payment

• All previous driving experience, theory and practical test attempts must be disclosed when booking.
• Payment:
  
  • Pay your deposit via our website or by bank transfer.
  • The remaining balance of the course fee must be paid direct to your instructor no later than 7 days before the course begins.

3. Cooling Off & Cancellations

• You have a 14-day cooling off period for cancellations from the date you paid your deposit, where you will not be liable for the remaining course balance. However, the deposit is non-refundable.
• You are entitled to a full refund of the deposit by us if we cancel the course.
• Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to sales@intensiveoneweekdriving.co.uk.
• If you cancel within 48 hours of any scheduled lesson, that lesson time will be forfeited.
• Your balance payment to your instructor forms your contract between you and them.

4. Course Timeframe & Test Booking

• Courses must be completed within 6 months of the first lesson.
• If required, test hours may be held back until the actual test date.

5. Instructor Agreement

• The instructor has the right to:
  
  • Postpone your test if you are not ready.
  • Bring your test forward if you are ready and DVSA allows.
• Refunds for unused hours (at the hourly rate) will be paid by the instructor.
• Our instructors are self-employed. Intensive One Week Driving is not liable for financial agreements between you and the instructor.

6. Vehicle & Test Requirements

• You cannot switch between manual and automatic vehicles once the course begins.
• Use of your own vehicle is subject to instructor approval and carries no discount.
• You must bring your provisional licence with you to each lesson and your test.
• Driving under the influence will result in cancellation of your session with no refund.

7. Insurance & Liability

• All instructors are insured for tuition and DVSA tests.
• Intensive One Week Driving is not liable for any driving offences or incidents.

8. Data & Privacy

• Your details will only be shared with:
  
  • Your assigned instructor
  • The DVSA (if applicable)
• Your data is deleted upon course/test completion.

9. Your Responsibilities

• Hold a valid provisional or international driving licence.
  • International licence holders must adhere to the international licence criteria.
• Be physically and legally fit to drive.
• Attend scheduled sessions. Instructors will wait 15 minutes before marking you absent.
• Do not consume alcohol or drugs before lessons.

10. Instructor Commitments

• 1-to-1 instruction only. No passengers unless agreed by both parties.
• Vehicle used will be dual-controlled, roadworthy, and fully insured and have a valid MOT (where applicable).
• Time missed due to instructor delays will be rescheduled.
• Instructors may take short breaks during long sessions.

11. Test Day & Cancellations

• The instructor may withhold use of the car for the test if you are not ready.
• If a mechanical issue prevents the test, the instructor will rebook at no extra cost where a replacement car is unavailable.
• If DVSA cancels your test, the instructor will support rescheduling.

Final Acknowledgement

By proceeding with your booking, you acknowledge and agree to all terms listed above.
